Perusini Pinot grigio
Friulli Colli Orientali, ITaly
Pinot Grigio
Putting Pinot Grigio back on the map, this is what the Italians drink
Producer
Production
Right on the Slovenian border in North East Italy, 3 brothers (Carlo, Tommaso and Michele) run the Perusini winery making some of the most elegant, subtle and certainly gastronomic wines you're likely to find.
Grown organically, hand harvested, gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel vats with no malolactic fermentation. 6 months lees ageing gives the wine a wonderful complexity.
Tasting Notes
Perhaps a little more reminiscent of an Alsation Pinot Gris, the distinctly tropical nose is married with a fairly throaty structure. A pure and clean viscosity is balanced perfectly with the acidity. A pinot grigio to experience.
